Privacy Policy

Montez AS is the data controller for the personal data processed in the online store.

What data we process: When you shop with us, we process your name, contact information, delivery and billing address, order history and payment information. Payment information is handled by our payment provider; Montez does not store full card details.

Purpose and legal basis: We process the data to carry out the purchase and fulfil the agreement with you (General Data Protection Regulation, Article 6(1)(b)), and to comply with statutory obligations such as accounting (Article 6(1)(c)).

Recipients: We share data with data processors that provide services to us, including Shopify (operation of the online store), our payment provider (payment) and the shipping company (delivery). These process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; any such transfer then takes place on a valid transfer basis, for example the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

Marketing: Montez does not currently send newsletters or marketing, and does not use third-party analytics tools.

Cookies: The online store uses only cookies that are necessary for the store and shopping cart to function. We do not use cookies for analytics or marketing.

Storage period: We store the data for as long as necessary for the purpose. Data subject to bookkeeping requirements is stored for as long as the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires.

Your rights: You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and you may object to the processing. Contact us to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no).
